6 challenges facing future leaders

The next generation of business leaders will be facing a complex range of challenges, including globalization and employee loyalty. Let's take a peek at business in 2030.

The future of leadership is changing, according to a Hay Group study titled “Leadership 2030.”
In reporting the findings, Hay Group’s Wendy Montague says that “while today’s business environment is increasingly complex and requires leaders have broad range of skills and talents to match, the coming years will see our leaders face even more challenges at a cognitive, emotional, and behavioral level.”
The Hay Group calls this new leadership style “post-heroic,” and says that it’s a response to six key global trends that continue to emerge as having great impact on the next generation of business leaders.
Among these trends are globalization, demographic shifts, and technological convergence. “These shifting trends indicate that the next generation of leaders will have to be multilingual, flexible, internationally mobile and adaptable,” Montague writes. “But, most crucial of all, they must be highly collaborative and have strong conceptual and strategic thinking skills to find new ways to create loyalty among employees.”
You can find details on the six global trends here.
All the success!
